Wikipedia:Peer review/List of Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu/archive1

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since there is no seperate peer review for the featured lists, thought of listing it here. Please give any suggestions/comments for improving this list and elevating it to featured status. It additionally contains the Chief Minsters of Madras Presidency and Madras State that were precursors to the present day Tamil Nadu. Thanks, Ganeshk (talk) 17:05, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Great work. Just a couple of comments

  • The (horizontal) timeline pictures are a little misleading at first glance. You tend to think the name of the CM is on the bar, but it turns out that the names are really to the right of the bar. Also, as somebody else pointed out, aren't they sort of redundant with the vertical timeline?
  • The pages on some of the (at least more recent) CMs need a big facelift if this is going to be a featured article.

Reply to Cribananda: Thanks for your comments.

  • Timeline is a meta wiki function. I cannot change the way the names display. You can find similar usage here. The vertical timeline reports tenure with important events (like independence, creation of Madras State etc.) included. If you feel it is redundant, shall I move it to a sub-page?
That's fine, I don't think it matters much. -Cribananda 06:25, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think it is an FL criterion, but I just thought the obvious thing for most people to do is to click on the CM's name. A poor article (the way some of them are now) may not look great. I will also try cleaning them up a bit. Thanks. - Cribananda 06:25, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
